Allmade Shirt Donation
Due to the unseasonably warm temperatures, we started our spring cleaning a little early this year. As we were moving things around and organizing, we soon realized we had the makings of an Allmade shirt donation on our hands.
What Is Allmade?
Allmade is an apparel company started in 2017 by apparel decorators and for apparel decorators. The ten founders (including our captain Brett Bowden!) had a goal of creating not only a great shirt to screen print on, but one you feel good in and can feel good about.
“Through exploration and education, we learned the impact we could have on people and the planet by doing it differently.”
Each Allmade shirt is eco-friendly, provides jobs & ethical wages, strengthens communities and benefits orphan care.
Why the Donation?
As we were auditing assorted backstock items during our spring clean, we realized we had a healthy collection of tees ideal for an Allmade shirt donation. We reached out to the Allmade team to discuss, and they were in full support.
“These were some of the first Allmade shirts we made, left over from discontinued styles and colors,” said Ryan Moor, co-founder of Allmade. “It’s awesome they get to be worn and loved with a good cause, especially those SMEDIUMS!”
That’s right, Allmade once produced a shirt sized between a traditional small and medium, logically referred to as a “smedium.” Truly a brand created by apparel decorators 😉
Why One Safe Place?
We knew we wanted to donate locally, to an organization directly serving our community on a daily basis. We didn’t have far to look, as One Safe Place is less than two miles from our shop.
“In Tarrant County, we are the Family Justice Center providing services to survivors of domestic violence and to their children,” said Jessi Rixie, Director of Advocacy at One Safe Place. “We provide 23 partner agencies all in one building.”
These tees will provide survivors of domestic violence with essential clothing during their time of need and, hopefully, can help restore their confidence and provide them with a fresh start.
Thanks so much to One Safe Place for all of the work they do in our community and to Allmade for partnering with us on this donation (and making awesome shirts!).
